The Berwyn Shops is focused on the growth, education, and success of its vendors. We encourage small business owners to test out a physical space in the local market before committing to a full-blown storefront. To do this, we need your help!
We are looking for a jury committee of 13 community volunteers for the 2025 season. Together, the jurors are responsible for reviewing applications, interviewing finalists, and selecting the vendors that are the best fit for this homegrown project. The jury may be comprised of but is not limited to business owners, stakeholders, Berwyn residents, and frequent shoppers of the Berwyn Shops.
Berwyn Shops Jury Committee
Our goal is to incorporate a variety of opinions and perspectives, as well as reflect the array of prospective clients of the Berwyn Shops when selecting the jury committee.
Review, in a timely manner, the vendor application packets provided to you by the Project Homegrown Coordinator.
Participate in the Vendor Selection Day by actively listening to business pitches and reviewing example products. (Saturday, February 8, 8am-3pm)
Rank completed applications according to the provided rubric
Offer continued support to the selected vendors by attending special events associated with the Berwyn Shops and by sharing related social media posts.
